M³ + F³

Manuscript of Mathematical Metaphysics

M³: Manuscript of Mathematical Metaphysics is a literary paradigm of theory fiction showcasing the Theory of Limits in the form of a scientific paper.

In the thesis, Jain explored the theory of mathematical limits through the notion of speculative materialism in the framework of mathematical metaphysics. The thesis was developed through the generous assistance of Xiaoge Zhang (Wirtschaftsinformatik Bachelor) who reviewed the application of mathematical terminology and theory of limits.

Form Follows Frequency

F³: Form Follows Frequency is an audio-visual work which is composed based on M³ in the notion of sonic fiction.

Jain developed her skills in 'Touchdesigner' software to realise F³ and performed an audio - visual live set, showcasing audio reactive particles forming structures on the rhythm of the frequency or song connected to the nodes' network in the software. She had the opportunity to gain insight on her work from guest lecturer Aaron Coyes from music duo Peaking Lights.

M³ + F³ illustrates the quintessential interface between maths and technology, portraying Jain's fascination and skills in applying interdisciplinary methodologies by translating scientific and literary theories through design.
