About

Pragya Jain is a transdisciplinary experience designer and researcher. Her work is an expression of delineating the subliminal notions established in art, design and scientific premises.

The interface of design and science acts as a driving force in her work. The amalgamation of disciplines can translate the power of design and technology as determining forces in solving challenging issues.

She believes that today, science plays a much greater role than ever in meeting the needs of all (ways of) being(s).

Having studied International Baccalaureate, she discovered her interest in the interface of Art and Science. It continued to influence her current training in Product Design directed at Willem de Kooning Academy, University of Applied Sciences Rotterdam. Her further education is reflected in her professional position as it inspired her to become a  mediator and youth representative at Science Gallery Rotterdam and contribute as a Student Researcher at Rotterdam Arts & Sciences Lab (RASL).

Her work illustrates the quintessential interface between science, art, design and technology. She portrays her fascination and skills in translating connections, methods and academic/scholarly frameworks through a transdisciplinary approach, devising interactive media design as the instrument to create tangible representations of knowledge(s).

Jain invites all to explore, discover and implement these networks by (re)searching for how to translate ideologies and developing innovative methodologies for interdisciplinary communication and collaboration. Her work has been exhibited at the ISV Theatre in Valencia, Spain, Design District 2019 in Rotterdam and Dutch Design Week 2020 in the Netherlands.
